Nick and Courtney's story started at a New Year's Eve party in Colorado in 2017. At the time, Nick was in the military, stationed at Fort Bragg and Courtney was working in Colorado. After getting to know each other, Courtney attempted her classic, awkward, friend zone hug but Nick rejected that idea and went in for a full blown Nick hug. The first of many.

After many bonfires and barbecues at Nick's house, the couple started officially dating on July 17, 2020. After two years of dating, the couple moved into their first townhome together in Castle Rock, Colorado. 

Loving the adventure they had started as a couple, Nick came home one day and told Courtney that he thinks he is going to fly out the next morning to interview for a position with Irving Fire Department. 

After many flights from Texas to Colorado, he got the job! Nick moved to Texas in January 2023 and Courtney followed in May 2023. The two have lived in Fort Worth for two years and have found jobs they love.

Nick is a firefighter with the Irving Fire Department, and Courtney is a Surgical Technologist at Southlake Surgery Center. 

This February the two went on vacation with their friends Andrew and Amani, to the Dominican Republic. Here is where Nick popped the question!! After asking about 10 times if he was serious….we think she said yes...but she definitely took the ring. The two are now buying their first home in Texas, just in time to start the rest of their adventure together!
